I performed on stage every year, sometimes as part of the Sherwood orchestra,
sometimes as part of the percussion team, and often solo.
Percussion was the only category of instruments I ever played on stage at Sherwood.
Indian music nights like these were maha-boring (for the audience).
That's why seniors made them compulsory for the school to attend,
otherwise nobody would show up, and it would be an insult to Indian
classical music. Nevertheless, I enjoyed being part of the Indian
music group.
In the picture above, seated on the left is my guru, Dr. Krishna,
and on the right is my music teacher, Dr. Haldar (he was not a percussionist).
